Lisa + Jacques

Rimrock Ranch, Pioneertown

This was one of those weddings that we just knew was going to be gorgeous. Lisa is a stylist and she hired Jaime from Wild Heart Events, who always creates absolutely amazing looking weddings. And sure enough, the big day didn’t disappoint. The attention to detail, from the dresses to the tablescapes, was breathtaking and blended perfectly with the desert surroundings. Lisa was excited to include as much of the desert as possible in the day, and Rimrock Ranch — just beyond Pioneertown and close to Joshua Tree — was the perfect spot with views of the open desert on one side of the property.

Jacques — a car designer by trade — had one main request for the day: he wanted to drive a vintage car with his new bride. Gwen from Rimrock Ranch turned Jacques onto a vintage Ford Bronco that was available for rent and this became the ride that took the newlyweds away for a sunset shoot after the wedding as well as bringing them back in style for their grand entrance.

We were able to license their first dance song — “Leather and Lace” by Stevie Nicks and Don Henley — for part of the film’s soundtrack, and it fitted the romantic but upbeat mood of the day perfectly.
