Yosemite National Park
Mia and Joey shared their truly epic wedding with their close family and friends at Yosemite National Park. They picked Yosemite as it is Joey's favorite of the parks they've explored together, with Zion in Utah coming in a close second for Mia! The ceremony took place at Glacier Point and they had their reception at an Airbnb in Yosemite West. We had a lot of fun with Mia and Joey hiking to a few different spots to shoot with them and they even wanted to get up before sunrise the next day to get shots at Glacier Point again. Now that's commitment!
Ace Hotel & Swim Club, Palm Springs
Anaelisa and Tommy wanted a fun wedding in Palm Springs with all their friends, family, and their dog Jordan. After exchanging heartfelt vows in front of a beautiful bougainvillea arch they dined al fresco by the pool in the event space at the Ace Hotel — The Commune — and then tore up the dance floor until late into the night. Anaelisa and Tommy had a very tangible sense of style and we wanted to capture that in the film.
Bougainvillea Estate, Palm Springs
Hannah and Hayden wanted a fun wedding film that showed them having a good time hanging out with their friends and family. Which is lucky, as their film really couldn't have been anything else as the day was filled with so many smiles and genuinely happy moments. Hayden plays the drums for the band Sir Sly, and the band performed a few songs at the reception with Hayden's dad stepping up on harmonica duty. We've seen plenty of wedding bands before, but this was the first time the groom was in the band and even got out from behind the drum kit to serenade his new bride!
Rimrock Ranch, Pioneertown
Austin and Mishka (their huge but lovable dog) drove all the way from the east coast to California to meet Janice (who opted for the quicker option of flying from the east coast) for an intimate wedding at Rimrock Ranch. With neither family being from California, it was a true destination wedding for everyone. It was one of the most relaxed and chill weddings we've been to and Janice's Dad's speech one of the most touching we've heard.
Twentynine Palms Inn, 29 Palms
We met Hailey and Mark when we shot Hailey's brother's wedding the year before. We were super excited when they asked us to film their wedding at Twentynine Palms Inn, a local venue that we'd visited before (they have amazing homemade bread and cocktails) but never filmed at. It is our only desert wedding that was overcast and slightly rainy, but it didn't stop everyone from having a great time!
Churon Winery, Temecula
Nikki and Justin's celestial themed wedding in Temecula was a blast. Their young daughter, Scarlett, amped up the cute-factor but left enough limelight for her elegant mom and dapper dad on their big day.
Rimrock Ranch, Pioneertown
Bianca and Zena ended up being our second Australian elopement for 2018! Australia had only recently amended their laws to allow same-sex marriage at the end of 2017, but by then Bianca and Zena has already planned their California elopement with just a few friends and family members joining them. Having picked Rimrock Ranch for their venue, they were wed by Minister Marie in a beautiful and ceremony with some of the most heartfelt vows we've witnessed.
The O'Donnell House, Palm Springs
We've always wanted to shoot a wedding at The O'Donnell House — a beautiful, historical property up in the hills of Palm Springs with killer views. Throw in a fun couple from New York and we were all in for this wedding. The day had it all — sweet vows, entertaining speeches, a high energy dance party and a couple that couldn't stop smiling the whole day through.
Smoke Tree Ranch, Palm Springs
Josh and Rebecca were married surrounded by all their friends and family at Smoke Tree Ranch, a large, sprawling property dating back to the 1930s. There aren't many places in the US that you could plan an outdoor wedding in December, but Palm Springs is one of them.
Joshua Tree National Park
Tiffany and Rigo travelled to Joshua Tree from their home in Idaho for an intimate elopement in the National Park. They were married by local officiant, The Vow Keeper, at Cap Rock in the late afternoon.
Joshua Tree National Park, California
Tabitha and Shaun started their wedding planning with the idea of a big, traditional wedding in Australia but quickly realized it wasn’t what either of them wanted. Instead, they decided to fly to California to elope in Joshua Tree National Park, and have a big party in Australia with friends and family when they got back home.
The Parker, Palm Springs CA
Emetisse and Payum were married at The Parker, Palm Springs in a beautiful ceremony that took elements from a traditional Persian wedding. With a gorgeous couple and venue, this film almost shot itself!
