La Jolla, San Diego
The perfect SoCal wedding. A beautiful wedding party with more than its fair share of blond hair; surfing, skateboarding and electric scooters; sun, sea and surf; and a Beach Boys cover version in the soundtrack to wrap it all up.
Blowing Rock, North Carolina
Heavy clouds blowing through the Smokey Mountains; rain gently falling on the streets, reflecting the Christmas lights that decked the town; fog rolling over a wintry lake as a wedding party stands on its banks witnessing a wedding unfold. Marianne and Ryan's wedding in Blowing Rock, North Carolina was breathtakingly beautiful.
We've wanted to shoot a wedding in Las Vegas for a long time and we couldn't have picked a better one than Monique and Erik's elopement for their 10 year vow renewal. When Monique got in touch and mentioned a sequined cape, a Harley Davidson and having Elvis as an officiant, there was really no way to say no!
Yosemite National Park
Mia and Joey shared their truly epic wedding with their close family and friends at Yosemite National Park. They picked Yosemite as it is Joey's favorite of the parks they've explored together, with Zion in Utah coming in a close second for Mia! The ceremony took place at Glacier Point and they had their reception at an Airbnb in Yosemite West. We had a lot of fun with Mia and Joey hiking to a few different spots to shoot with them and they even wanted to get up before sunrise the next day to get shots at Glacier Point again. Now that's commitment!
Rimrock Ranch, Pioneertown
Jacques loves vintage cars. Lisa loves the desert. And WE loved shooting this beautiful wedding at Rimrock Ranch in Pioneertown. It was the perfect Fall day in the high desert for this dreamy, romantic wedding.
The Saguaro, Palm Springs
Natasha and Seth got married on New Year’s Eve at the Saguaro, a colorful Palm Springs hotel that was the perfect backdrop for their fun-filled wedding. They partied 'til midnight and joined their guests in a count-down to bring in the new year.
The O'Donnell House, Palm Springs
We were super excited when Julia and Rob got in touch and asked us to film their wedding at the O'Donnell house, one of the most stunning venues in Palm Springs. This wedding also featured some of the most fun dancing we've ever witnessed at a wedding, with the imaginary jump rope dance being a particular favorite of ours.
Ace Hotel & Swim Club, Palm Springs
Anaelisa and Tommy wanted a fun wedding in Palm Springs with all their friends, family, and their dog Jordan. After exchanging heartfelt vows in front of a beautiful bougainvillea arch they dined al fresco by the pool in the event space at the Ace Hotel — The Commune — and then tore up the dance floor until late into the night. Anaelisa and Tommy had a very tangible sense of style and we wanted to capture that in the film.
The Desert Lily, Joshua Tree
Sarah wanted to make her motorcycle, Bessie, a part of her wedding day but the venue was hard to reach as it was on a series of dirt roads. So we suggested an adventure session with Sarah and Dawn (and Bessie) the day before to show the couple's more rock n' roll side. Dawn has the lyrics to "Sweet Child O' Mine" tattooed on her forearm and both are massive Joan Jett fans, and with both dressed from head to toe in black, they certainly looked the part! It also proved to be a fun contrast with their beautiful all-white wedding outfits the next day.
Bougainvillea Estate, Palm Springs
Hannah and Hayden wanted a fun wedding film that showed them having a good time hanging out with their friends and family. Which is lucky, as their film really couldn't have been anything else as the day was filled with so many smiles and genuinely happy moments. Hayden plays the drums for the band Sir Sly, and the band performed a few songs at the reception with Hayden's dad stepping up on harmonica duty. We've seen plenty of wedding bands before, but this was the first time the groom was in the band and even got out from behind the drum kit to serenade his new bride!
Rimrock Ranch, Pioneertown
Austin and Mishka (their huge but lovable dog) drove all the way from the east coast to California to meet Janice (who opted for the quicker option of flying from the east coast) for an intimate wedding at Rimrock Ranch. With neither family being from California, it was a true destination wedding for everyone. It was one of the most relaxed and chill weddings we've been to and Janice's Dad's speech one of the most touching we've heard.
Joshua Tree National Park
Amanda and Mike flew in from Florida to elope together in Joshua Tree National Park. They were married by Trish from Desert Popup who also designed and planned the wedding, bringing in some soft furnishings to make a cute nook for the couple to relax in and toast with a glass of bubbly once they'd tied the knot.
